Frequently asked questions

Are LqdCo bags actually plant-based?

Yes. Our bags are made from renewable, plant-derived materials, so there's no greenwashing or guesswork.

Are the bags strong enough for big dogs?

Absolutely. They're thick, leak-resistant, and generously sized so pick-ups stay clean and worry-free, whether you've got a chihuahua or a Great Dane.

Yes — LqdCo is registered with The Vegan Society, the world's most trusted vegan certification.

How do you give back?

A portion of every sale funds medical care, adoptions, and support for animals in need. We're also a 1% for the Planet member, pledging 1% of annual sales to environmental nonprofits.

Which nonprofits do you support?

We don't limit ourselves to one or two causes — we support many, from local shelters to global initiatives, wherever kindness is needed most.

Do you offer wholesale or retail partnerships?

Yes! We partner with stores, veterinary clinics, grooming salons, rescues, and creators. Head to our Partnerships page to tell us how you'd like to work together.

Compostable, but can you compost it anywhere?

Although these bags are designed to be compostable, they are not intended for composting with materials that will be used to grow or fertilize edible or consumable plants. Pet waste may contain pathogens, parasites, or other contaminants that can remain in compost and may pose a health risk if that compost is used on food crops.

Where is the right place to compost these bags?

Compostable poop bags should be composted only in a commercial composting facility that specifically accepts pet waste and certified compostable bags. They should not be placed in your home compost bin or regular recycling.

Always check with your local waste or composting provider to confirm they accept pet waste and compostable bags before disposing of them.

Are your bags biodegradable?

Our bags are compostable, rather than simply labeled biodegradable. They are TÜV certified to recognized compostability standards, including TÜV OK compost HOME and TÜV OK compost INDUSTRIAL for applicable products.

Compostable means our bags are specifically designed and tested to break down under the composting conditions for which they are certified. We believe certification gives you greater confidence and transparency than simply using the term “biodegradable.”
