Meet the rescues behind the brand

People often assume a pet brand starts with a business plan. Ours started with a houseful of animals who needed us.

Three seniors and a rotating cast of kittens

Long before there was a box with our logo on it, there were our three senior dogs — the gray-muzzled, slow-morning, deeply-opinionated heart of our home. Add to that the foster kittens who came through in waves, each one a little emergency of feeding schedules, litter boxes, and 2 a.m. check-ins, and you have a house that runs entirely on animal time.

Fostering teaches you something you can't learn any other way: how much difference a little consistent care makes to a creature who arrived with none. A scared kitten becomes a lap cat. A shut-down dog starts wagging again. You don't forget that once you've seen it.

How rescue became the mission, not the marketing

When we shifted from making infuser bottles to making pet products, we didn't have to search for a cause to attach to — it was already sleeping on our couch. Environmental stewardship is what we do; animal rescue is why we do it.

A portion of every sale goes to animal rescue organizations — funding medical care, adoption efforts, and the unglamorous, critical support that keeps shelters running.

Why we don't pick just one

Rescue needs are everywhere and they don't look the same in every place. A rural shelter needs different help than an urban foster network; a wildlife rehab center needs different help than a cat rescue. So instead of tying ourselves to a single organization, we spread support across many — wherever it's needed most at the time.

The animals get the last word

Every product we design gets “tested” by a very demanding panel: our own dogs, who supervise from the floor and expect treats for their trouble. The rescue animals that changed our lives are in every decision we make — and honestly, they'd tell you they deserve the credit. We wouldn't argue.
